North Academy of World Languages is a K-8 public language immersion magnet school. We are seeking a French Teaching Assistant who will work closely with elementary students, primarily in kindergarten through third grade, as they are exposed to core subject areas while immersed in French. The candidate will be responsible in assisting the lead teacher in implementing engaging and interactive lessons that align with the North Carolina Curriculum standards. Additionally, the candidate will contribute to creating a nurtuing and inclusive classroom environment that promotes the academic, social, and emotional growth of students. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with the lead teacher to plan and deliver age-appropriate French language lessons that foster student engagement and comprehension. Embrace a diverse range of students, inspiring growth in ALL regardless of ability or personal background Provide one-on-one or small group support in core subject area content and language skill development. Assist in the creation of instructional materials and resources to enhance learning experiences and accomodate diverse learning styles. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture where students feel valued, respected, and supported in their language learning journey Support the lead teacher in assessing student progress and development, providing feedback, and adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
