Licensed Assisted Living Executive Director – Lancaster County, South Carolina Role Description This is a full-time role for a licensed Assisted Living Executive Director in Lancaster County, South Carolina. The Administrator will oversee the daily operations of assisted living and Community Residential Care Facilities (CRCFs), ensuring quality care and full compliance with South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) regulations and all applicable state and federal standards. Responsibilities include managing budgets, fostering clear communication, and facilitating a positive resident experience. The Administrator will also collaborate with staff to maintain a safe, supportive, and fulfilling environment for residents in accordance with the South Carolina Omnibus Adult Protection Act and relevant provisions of SC Code of Laws Title 44. Qualifications Must hold or be eligible for a current, active South Carolina Community Residential Care Facility (CRCF) Administrator license issued by the SC Board of Long Term Health Care Administrators Experience with Independent Living, Senior Living Communities, and Long-term Care management in a South Carolina or comparable regulatory environment Working knowledge of SC DHEC licensing requirements, inspection processes, and CRCF regulatory standards Strong communication skills to interact with residents, families, staff, and external stakeholders including DHEC surveyors and community partners Proficiency in budgeting and financial planning for managing operational expenses, including familiarity with South Carolina Medicaid and relevant reimbursement programs Leadership and organizational skills to ensure efficient community operations and maintain compliance with SC staffing ratio requirements Thorough understanding of South Carolina state regulations governing assisted living and senior care facilities, including resident rights under SC law Compassionate and patient-centered approach to senior care, with sensitivity to the needs of the growing senior population in the Lancaster County area Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; SC licensure requirements must be met regardless of degree Previous experience managing a licensed CRCF or assisted living community in South Carolina is a strong asset
