Job Title: Detail Manager Location: Eide Chrysler St Cloud Reports To: Service Manager Job Summary The Detail Manager is responsible for overseeing all vehicle appearance operations at the dealership, ensuring every new and pre-owned vehicle meets brand standards for cleanliness, presentation, and delivery readiness. This role manages the detailing team, coordinates workflow with sales and service departments, and maintains high-quality standards while controlling costs and turnaround times. Key Responsibilities * Manage daily operations of the detailing department, including scheduling, workflow, and staffing * Ensure all new vehicles are properly prepped for delivery, display, and customer handoff * Oversee detailing of pre-owned vehicles to meet dealership and manufacturer standards * Inspect completed vehicles for quality, consistency, and attention to detail * Hire, train, coach, and supervise detail technicians * Maintain department productivity while meeting delivery deadlines * Coordinate closely with Sales, Service, and Inventory teams to prioritize work * Manage inventory of detailing supplies, chemicals, and equipment * Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and dealership policies * Address reconditioning issues, customer concerns, and quality improvements * Monitor costs, control waste, and recommend process improvements Qualifications * Previous experience in automotive detailing required * Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred * Strong knowledge of detailing processes, products, and equipment * Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment * Strong organizational and time-management skills * High standards for quality and attention to detail * Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record * Ability to work flexible hours, including some weekends Physical Requirements * Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs * Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions What We Offer * Competitive pay based on experience * Health benefits * Paid time off and holidays * Opportunities for growth within the dealership * A fast-paced, team-oriented work environment
