EKG Technician

Performs all EKG's with an emphasis on quality tracings. Performs and scans all Holter Monitors, performs all Electroencephalograms. Ability to utilize EKG management system.
High School graduate or G.E.D. Successful completion of EKG/EEG training from an accredited school. Must be competent in detection of cardiac arrhythmias. Minimum 1 year previous experience in acute care setting preferred; new graduates accepted. Ability to operate EKG and EEG equipment. Must be able to utilize hospital information system and be proficient in Holter Monitor scanning. Ability to communicate in a tactful, diplomatic way. Ability to handle information with strict confidentiality. Willingness to upgrade skills with evolvement of technology
