Senior Electrified Powertrain Controls Engineer (EV / Hybrid Systems) Stellantis is seeking a Senior Electrified Powertrain Controls Engineer to develop and deliver advanced control systems for electrified propulsion within the Electrified Propulsion Controls Center of Excellence. In this role, you will design and implement control strategies across key areas including torque management, energy management, thermal management, charging systems, diagnostics, and Auxiliary Emission Control Device (AECD) identification. You will contribute to robust, production-ready solutions across EV, BEV, and hybrid vehicle programs. The ideal candidate brings strong system-level thinking, technical leadership capabilities, and experience driving validation and integration across complex electrified architectures. Key Responsibilities:Analyze high-level vehicle and system requirements and derive control strategiesPerform AECD identification, impact assessment, and documentationDesign, implement, and validate control algorithms for electrified powertrain systems Lead MIL, SIL, and HIL verification and validation activities Deliver production-quality prototype software builds Perform root cause analysis and resolve system-level issues Define and support calibration strategies Drive cross-functional technical discussions and alignment across global teams Lead subsystem development and integration activities Mentor junior engineers and support team development Contribute to process improvements and engineering best practices Basic Qualifications:Bachelors’ degree in relevant engineering fieldA minimum of 5 years of experience in controls/software engineeringStrong knowledge of vehicle and propulsion systemsProven experience in modeling, validation, and calibrationExcellent problem-solving and teamwork skillsStrong knowledge of electrified architectures and energy managementAdvanced control techniquesProficiency in Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow and autocode toolsStrong embedded C/C++ skillsExperience with INCA, CANalyzer, ControlDesk, HIL systemsUnderstanding of OBD and communication standardsStrong validation (MIL/SIL/HIL) ownershipAbility to lead subsystem developmentStrong communication and reporting to managementCapable of working across global teams (US/EU)Ability to manage multiple prioritiesPreferred Qualifications:Master’s degree in relevant engineering field Brand: FCA GroupJob ID: 2019506Employment Type: Full-timeJob Area: EngineeringPosted Date: 01/07/2026
