Freight ForwarderLocation: Mendota Heights, USADivision: Air & SeaJob Posting Title: Freight ForwarderTime Type: Full TimeSummary: A Freight Forwarder is responsible for managing and coordinating the exportation of goods by air, including all necessary documentation, scheduling, and communication with customers and third-party service providers. This role requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail, as well as excellent communication skills to manage relationships with customers and ensure their satisfaction.Duties and ResponsibilitiesCoordinate the exportation of goods by air, including scheduling with airlines and managing the movement of goods through various transportation channelsPrepare and process required documentation for customs clearance, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of ladingTrack and monitor shipments, providing regular updates to customers on the status of their shipmentsManage relationships with customers, ensuring their satisfaction and addressing any concerns or issues that may ariseCollaborate with other internal departments, such as logistics, finance, and operations, to ensure timely and efficient service deliveryEnsure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws, including customs regulations and trade lawsAll other duties as assigned.Educational Background / Work ExperiencePrior experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field is preferredExperience in Freight Forwarding is highly desirableSkills & CompetenciesMathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, such as calculating costs and ratesOther Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills; strong communication and interpersonal skills; attention to detail and accuracy; ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environmentFunction / Market & Industry Knowledge / Business Acumen / Processes: Knowledge of air freight logistics and customs regulations; understanding of trade laws and regulationsLanguage skills: Fluency in English is required; knowledge of additional languages is a plusComputer Literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with logistics software and systems is preferredAt Will Employment: DSV Air & Sea Inc. employees are hired for an undefined period of time as "at will" employees.Expected Base Pay Range: $44,772 - $55,965 annuallyDSV is an equal employment opportunity employer.
