Competitive Compensation Salary: $59,800–$66,600 based on education and experience $350 Sign-On Bonus Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance Seven paid personal days annually Work-Life Balance 4-day student week Mondays dedicated to planning, collaboration, intervention, enrichment, and professional development A School Where Teachers Can Teach Cell phone-free classrooms Teach Like A Champion instructional model Strong instructional systems and coaching Dedicated time for lesson planning, laboratory preparation, and data analysis Responsibilities As our High School Biology & Chemistry Teacher, you will: Teach Biology and Chemistry aligned to Colorado Academic Standards Design engaging lessons, demonstrations, and laboratory investigations Foster scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and problem-solving Teach laboratory safety, scientific measurement, data analysis, and scientific writing Maintain a safe and organized science laboratory Monitor student progress and communicate with families Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum, assessments, interventions, and instructional improvement Create a structured, respectful classroom focused on student achievement Qualifications Required: Valid Colorado Teaching License with Secondary Science endorsement OR 36 semester credit hours in Biology, Chemistry, or Science OR Passing score on the appropriate PRAXIS Science exam Strong Biology and Chemistry content knowledge Ability to safely conduct laboratory investigations Excellent communication and organizational skills Preferred: Previous secondary teaching experience Experience with laboratory science instruction Familiarity with Teach Like A Champion, Direct Instruction, or structured instructional models About Victory Preparatory Academy Victory Preparatory Academy is a tuition‑free public charter school serving grades 6–12 in Commerce City, Colorado.
