We are hiring a Network Engineer- Junior in Montgomery, AL to support secure, mission‑critical enterprise environments. In this role, you will complete tasks assigned by a Senior Network Engineer, install, configure, and support an organization’s LAN, WAN, AIN, intranet, and internet, maintain network hardware and software, monitor availability, and provide support to projects and translation of business requirements into telecommunications. Duties & Responsibilities Install, configure, and support an organization’s LAN, WAN, AIN, intranet, and internet, and other data communications systems. Maintain network hardware and software; monitor network to ensure availability to all users and perform necessary maintenance. Provide support to projects that involve networks; provide support in the translation of business requirements into telecommunications (e.g., LAN, MAN, WAN, Voice). Develop LAN/WAN network designs to accommodate a data center migration. Troubleshoot complex network issues such as performance analysis, protocol problems, hardware failures and WAN/LAN connectivity issues. Participate in the implementation of agreed‑upon solutions and strategies. Troubleshoot technology issues using various internal and external resources. Generate innovative approaches and solutions to recurring tasks or problems. Document technical problems, resolutions, and processes for assigned tasks and projects. Participate in testing and evaluation of new technologies to ensure compatibility and functionality. Follow policies and procedures for change and incident management. Qualifications CompTIA Security+ CE required. One to two years of progressively responsible network engineering hands‑on experience with Cisco platforms. Technical experience in Cisco, LAN/WAN, VoIP, TCP/IP protocol, routing/switching configurations, and firewall technologies. Demonstrated knowledge and hands‑on experience with LAN/WAN setup, TCP/IP protocol, routing/switching configurations and firewall technologies. Experience with Cisco routing/switching platforms and IOS. Experience with network topologies such as Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, GbE VLAN, and SONET. Experience implementing converged networks to include VoIP, VTC and QoS methods. Preferred Skills/Qualifications Demonstrated knowledge with content switching and load balancers. VoIP component configuration and deployment experience is a plus. Knowledge of systems and enterprise storage technologies.
