Position Overview

IMMEDIATE HIRING @ California, USA (100% Remote Contract): We are seeking a skilled software validation professional for a 6-month remote contract as a QA Analyst/Tester. Despite the title, this role requires a robust technical tracking history with 5+ years of hands-on experience across manual, automated, API, and database test execution layers. Operating on a 1099 contract framework, you will be responsible for ensuring software ecosystem stability, analyzing microservices payloads, and writing automated scripts inside fast-paced distributed architectures.

Key Responsibilities

• Test Script Execution: Design, document, and execute highly granular functional, manual, and automated regression test cases across applications.
• API Payload Validation: Perform structural API testing for microservices, RESTful protocols, and internal web services utilizing Postman or SoapUI.
• Automation Engineering: Build, enhance, and maintain stable automated test scripts utilizing Katalon Studio, Selenium, or aligned framework tools.
• Defect Lifecycle Tracking: Defect tracking, logging, and reporting of software anomalies; collaborating directly alongside engineering teams to verify patch resolutions.
• Database & Data Validation: Execute robust database testing sweeps, executing structured SQL queries to ensure backend data ledger integrity.
• CI/CD Pipelines Support: Integrate test automation suites within continuous delivery setups to promote iterative quality improvements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of verified professional experience in Software Quality Assurance (QA), functional testing, and script automation.
• Hands-on production proficiency utilizing test automation framework architectures (specifically Katalon, Selenium, or TestNG ).
• Extensive expertise handling API testing interfaces via Postman or SoapUI pipelines.
• Strong backend experience conducting database testing using complex SQL data queries.
• Solid understanding of the standard Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), QA methodologies, and defect lifecycles.
• Strong analytical troubleshooting, root-cause diagnosis, and technical documentation abilities.
• Strict Geographic Mandate: Only candidates residing in and operating from California, United States will be considered.
• Contract Framework: 6-month initial assignment operating on a 1099 tax classification setup.
