Landscaping / Gardening Job Description Job Title: Landscaper / Gardener Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time Reports To: [Owner / Landscape Supervisor] Overview We are seeking a reliable, hardworking Landscaper/Gardener to join our team. The ideal candidate has a passion for outdoor work, takes pride in creating and maintaining beautiful landscapes, and can work efficiently both independently and as part of a crew. Key Responsibilities Landscape Maintenance

• Perform routine lawn care, including mowing, edging, trimming, and blowing debris.
• Plant, prune, transplant, and maintain flowers, shrubs, trees, and other greenery.
• Install and maintain mulch, rock beds, and other landscape materials.
• Weed, fertilize, and apply soil treatments as needed.

Gardening & Plant Care

• Monitor plant health and identify signs of pests, disease, or poor soil conditions.
• Water, fertilize, and care for garden beds according to seasonal needs.
• Assist with garden design updates and enhancements.

Landscape Installation

• Assist with the installation of new landscaping features such as flowerbeds, trees, sod, and decorative rock.
• Support hardscape projects if needed.

Seasonal Tasks

• Conduct spring and fall cleanups, removing leaves, branches, and debris.
• Perform snow removal (optional based on company needs).
• Prepare outdoor areas for seasonal changes.

Equipment Use & Safety

• Operate landscaping tools and equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, clippers, etc.).
• Maintain tools, ensuring they are clean and in safe working condition.
• Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines on job sites.

Qualifications

• Previous landscaping, gardening, or groundskeeping experience preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong physical stamina; able to lift 40–50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks.
• Basic knowledge of plants, lawn care, and gardening techniques.
• Reliable transportation and strong work ethic.
• Ability to follow directions and work well in a team.
