Office Manager Position (Atlanta, GA)

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Dental Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing both the administrative and operational aspects of the practice, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience, and supporting a collaborative team environment. This position requires excellent communication, leadership, and customer service skills, as well as a solid understanding of dental office procedures and protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Office Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the dental office, including scheduling, patient flow, inventory management, and ensuring all office equipment is functional.
Staff Management: Supervise and train dental office staff (receptionists, dental assistants, hygienists), ensuring efficient workflow and maintaining high performance standards.
Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by greeting patients, addressing concerns, and ensuring patient satisfaction. Handle patient inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints in a professional manner.
Scheduling & Billing: Manage appointment scheduling to optimize the dentist’s time and minimize wait times for patients. Oversee billing, insurance verification, and ensure accurate financial records.
Financial Management: Oversee office finances, including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and budgeting. Monitor office expenditures and work with management to ensure the practice’s financial health.
Compliance & Records Management: Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, and dental board standards. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Marketing & Growth: Assist in developing and executing marketing strategies to attract new patients and retain current ones. Coordinate social media, advertising campaigns, and patient outreach programs.
Technology Management: Oversee the practice’s software systems, ensuring smooth operations for scheduling, billing, patient records, and communications. Stay updated on dental technologies and integrate new solutions as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in dental office administration or management.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance processes.
Proficiency with dental office software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Exceptional leadership, organizational, and multitasking skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of insurance verification, billing codes, and financial management.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Comfortable working in a dental office setting.

Salary Range

full-time $45,000 - $50,000 per year

Shift & Schedule

- Work Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 7 AM - 4 PM; Wednesday: Closed; Friday: 7 AM - 1 PM.
- Breaks: 30-minute meal break (not counted as work hours).
- Overtime: Overtime available during busy seasons and paid at 1.5x the regular hourly rate.
- Weekend Work: No weekend shifts required.
- Holiday Shifts: Occasional holiday shifts, compensated at double time.
