Position Summary Under general direction, the Security Guard patrols Housing Authority grounds, buildings, and surrounding areas to help protect individuals and property. monitoring for unauthorized activity reporting potential safety concerns assisting with incident response helping to prevent theft, vandalism, trespassing, and other violations Security Guards play an important role in maintaining a secure and welcoming environment while enforcing established rules and procedures. Requirements Applicants must possess a valid SORA (Security Officer Registration Act) license at the time of application. A valid New Jersey driver's license may also be required if operating a vehicle is necessary to perform the essential functions of the position. Qualified candidates should have strong observation skills, sound judgment, professionalism, and the ability to interact respectfully with residents and the public. Prior security experience is preferred but not required.
