Position Title: Senior Okta SME Consultant (IAM / Identity & Access Management)Location: Remote (Must be local to Washington, DC)Clearance Requirements: Public Trust ClearancePosition Status: ContractPay Rate: Competitive (Based on Experience)Position Description:We are seeking a Senior Okta SME Consultant to lead and optimize enterprise Identity & Access Management (IAM) solutions. In this role, you will serve as a subject matter expert for Okta, driving secure authentication, authorization, and user lifecycle management across complex environments.This is a high-impact opportunity to work on mission-critical security initiatives, enhance IAM architecture, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure access solutions. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for modern identity security, including SSO, MFA, and Zero Trust frameworksKey ResponsibilitiesLead design, implementation, and optimization of Okta IAM solutions (SSO, MFA, lifecycle management)Integrate Okta with enterprise systems such as Active Directory, Azure AD, LDAP, and RADIUSManage and troubleshoot T2/T3 IAM issues, ensuring high system availability and performanceDrive user provisioning/deprovisioning workflows and access governance best practicesImplement DevSecOps and automation strategies to streamline IAM operationsMonitor security events, perform vulnerability remediation, and support audit/compliance effortsCollaborate with security, infrastructure, and application teams to align IAM with business needsCreate and maintain technical documentation, reports, and system validation artifactsSupport IAM strategy, roadmap planning, and continuous improvement initiativesRequired Skills/Education8–10+ years of experience in IT Security, IAM, or Identity ManagementDeep expertise with Okta Identity Cloud (SSO, MFA, API integrations, lifecycle management)Strong experience integrating IAM with Active Directory, Azure AD, LDAP, RADIUSHands-on experience with user provisioning, access controls, and identity governanceProven experience in DevSecOps, automation, and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python)Solid understanding of Zero Trust Security, authentication protocols (SAML, OAuth, OIDC)Experience with security monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability managementStrong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholdersBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)Nice to HaveExperience with Splunk, ARIS, or enterprise access management systems (EAMS)Okta certifications (e.g., Okta Certified Professional / AdministratorExperience with IAM strategy, architecture planning, or security program leadershipPrior experience supporting federal or highly regulated environmentsAdditional RequirementsMust be able to attend onsite meetings in Washington, DC as neededExperience with system validation, audit documentation, and compliance reportingAbout Seneca ResourcesAt Seneca Resources, we are more than just a staffing and consulting firm, we are a trusted career partner.
