Substitute Teacher

About the Role

Levels Academy is seeking reliable, caring, and flexible Substitute Teachers to provide classroom coverage when our regular teachers are absent. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children and are passionate about education.

With  small class sizes of just 8–10 students , our substitutes can focus on building positive relationships and supporting student learning in a calm, engaging environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow lesson plans provided by the classroom teacher.
• Maintain a safe, structured, and positive learning environment.
• Supervise students throughout the school day, including transitions, lunch, and recess.
• Encourage student participation and positive behavior.
• Adapt to different grade levels and classroom settings as needed.
• Communicate with school administration regarding the day's activities and any concerns.
• Ensure classroom materials and spaces remain clean and organized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college coursework or degree preferred.
• Experience working with children in a school, childcare, tutoring, or youth program is preferred.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Dependable, punctual, and professional.
• Ability to follow directions and adapt quickly to different classrooms.
• Must successfully pass a background screening.
