Job Description Telecommunications Analyst III – Enterprise Infrastructure. Reports to the Managing Telecommunications Analyst and serves as the primary contact for projects, bridging telecom engineers and field contractors to ensure safe, timely completion of infrastructure deployments. Key responsibilities include: Assist the Project Manager, staff, and contracted vendors with the setup, design, and build of telecommunication infrastructure across the three main campuses and remote sites, ensuring Rutgers standards are met. Coordinate and implement telecommunication construction work for building wiring projects, collaborating with team members, contracted labor, and customers to design and install cabling systems that meet customer needs and university standards. Track telecommunication inventory and support budgeting activities for the Telecommunication Construction Management and Network Installation Group; maintain estimating and billing databases and assist with equipment tracking and deployment efforts. Participate in the engineering and design of voice/data/video networks based on university standards, supporting product evaluation and documentation under supervision. Coordinate and support wireless upgrades across multiple campuses, tracking equipment, managing installation logistics, and assisting with proper disposal of retired assets. Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field plus five (5) years of working experience in telecommunications enterprise-wide infrastructure. Equivalent education, experience, or training may substitute for the degree requirements. Must possess a valid NJ driver’s license. Certifications/Licenses: Valid NJ driver’s license. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Hands‑on experience with telecommunications technology and wiring standards.
