Department/Unit Overview: The patient population on this 24-bed unit is step-down patients in need of intermediate care. This progressive care unit provides nursing care for patients who are too ill for the general medical/surgical units, but do not need an intensive level of care in the the ICU. Population is general medicine, surgical, chronic vents (4 beds), bypass patients. We are a Stroke Certified unit.
Education - Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in the Nursing Field required
Certification/Licensure - Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- ACLS
- NIH stroke scale
Experience - Must have two or more years of current acute care hospital experience.
Hospital Overview Sentara Princess Anne Hospital, located in Virginia Beach, VA, is aMagnet Status, general medical and surgicalfacility with 160 beds.The hospital offers a full-service emergency room with a dedicated observation unit, Critical Care, Oncology and Stroke services.
