Responsible for directing and supervising all operations of the assisted living apartments in accordance with county, state, and federal rules, regulations and laws. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

 

  • Is responsible for the day-to-day operations, coordination & oversight and provides administrative guidance for operations of the assisted living apartments on a twenty-four-hour basis.

 

  • Responsible for pre-admission assessments of prospective residents of the assisted living apartments, as well as ongoing monitoring of medical condition of residents.

 

  • Prepares and presents the annual operating budget; monitors funds and tracks line-item expenditures in accordance with established policies and procedures.

 

  • Prepares required reports, records, and statistics in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.

 

  • Promotes favorable public relations for the facility and arranges for marketing development activities, including distributing brochures and setting up tours.

 

  • Responds to questions, inquiries, and complaints related to facility operations.

 

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING REQUIRED:

 

  • Duties require knowledge of assisted living facility management equivalent to an RN with at least 2 years of relevant healthcare experience

 

  • Must be a Registered Nurse and hold current registration with the New Hampshire Board of Nurse Examiners.

 

  • Must have a genuine interest in geriatrics and assisted living facility administration.

 

  • Must possess a thorough knowledge of and background in health care administration, including sanitation, safety, business management, personnel administration, and governmental licensure requirements.

 

  • Must be abreast of new developments and current trends in health care.

 

  • Must have the ability to display patience, tact, and understanding when working with staff, residents, family members, and the public.

 

  • Ability to recognize assisted living facility-wide priorities and work cooperatively to support their accomplishment.

 

  • Financial management and strong organizational skills.

 

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.

 

  • Ability to act as a role model for employee morale and good employee relations.

 

  • Ability to market programs and ideas; to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; to establish positive public relations, and to interact effectively with a wide variety of people.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

 

  • Directly supervises the Assisted Living employees.
