ViaQuest helps Dayton and Cincinnati area caregivers

become Shared Living Providers!

ViaQuest Shared Living Providers:
  • Assist adults with developmental disabilities
  • Provide a safe and supportive home (The person you care for lives in your home with you. The home must be your primary residence and owned or rented by you.)
  • Give individualized care to meet the person's daily needs
  • Care for family members or unrelated people (If you are not caring for someone you know, ViaQuest finds people who want Shared Living services.)
  • Live with partners, children, or alone
  • Have spare time when the person they care for works, attends day programs, visits family, or receives respite.
ViaQuest provides:
  • Training, background checks, and certification
  • A tax-free stipend between $35,000 to $60,000 yearly - with paid time off
  • Billing and payroll
  • Simple tools to document services
  • Management of compliance audits and reports
  • Assistance from a dedicated ViaQuest Manager
  • Communication with Board of Developmental Disabilities Services staff
  • Shared Living Providers also receive Room and Board from the person cared for, averaging $630/month
Responsibilities of a ViaQuest Shared Living Provider :
  • Supply a private, furnished bedroom and welcoming common areas in the home
  • Assist with daily living (for example, personal care, cooking, and cleaning)
  • Supervise, guide, model, and remind as needed
  • Schedule and attend medical appointments and fun social activities
  • Keep accurate records of work and incidents

To qualify, you must have a high school diploma/GED, clean background check, home insurance, insured vehicle, good driving record, and pass a home screening.
