This position is perfect for detail-oriented language professionals who excel in ensuring clarity, consistency, grammatical precision, and stylistic excellence in complex French materials. Key Responsibilities

  • Edit and proofread French-language content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, syntax, and clarity.
  • Ensure consistency in tone, style, formatting, and terminology across documents.
  • Improve structure, readability, and logical flow without altering intended meaning.
  • Identify ambiguities, inconsistencies, and factual or structural issues.
  • Enforce adherence to French style guides and maintain high editorial standards.
  • Flag unclear instructions, weak reasoning, or editorial risks in source material.
  • Provide thoughtful feedback to enhance overall content quality.
Ideal Qualifications
  • 3-5+ years of proven professional experience in copy editing.
  • Exceptional written and grammatical command of French (native proficiency required).
  • Demonstrated history of high-precision editorial work with minimal error rates.
  • Extremely high attention to detail and ability to catch subtle inconsistencies.
  • Strong familiarity with following instructions in a professional written context (Académie française standards, French editorial standards, or equivalent).
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining consistent quality standards.
  • Reliable availability and consistent engagement.
